Meet Freebie.
She isn’t officially on the staff list, but she certainly behaves as though she owns the place. Freebie is the neighbour’s cat who long ago decided that Long Story is her second (possibly preferred) home. She strolls in for a little sunshine, a quiet nap, or the hope of a treat from guests who instantly fall for her charm. She was lovingly given her “Long Story” name because… well… she arrives freely and helps herself freely too.
Freebie represents something we’ve never said enough and that is that Long Story is wholeheartedly, joyfully, proudly pet-friendly.
Because your story includes your animals too
For many of us, our pets are family – the companions who curl up at our feet, who travel with us, who make us feel at home anywhere. The owners of Long Story feel the same way, which is why the guesthouse has always opened its doors to four-legged travellers, even if we haven’t shouted it from the rooftops.
From the gentle garden pathways perfect for early-morning dog walks, to the cosy nooks on the patio where your pup can snooze while you enjoy coffee and freshly baked treats, Long Story is designed to be a place where humans and animals can unwind together.
Your Long Story hosts genuinely love animals and this part really matters. Your companions aren’t treated as an inconvenience; they are welcomed, fussed over, and cherished as part of your story here.
