Walking distance to ROBBERG 5 so we got daily beach walks in with ease.

It’s small things like if you want to bake a cake it has everything you could need , including sharp knives to cut it.

The pool ( which was heated) area and garden is beautifully crafted and very relaxing ( watch out for the rubber snakes! 😂).The staff ( Evans and Isaac) were very caring, attentive and kind. Breakfast was excellent and always served with a smile. The location is perfect as it is a few minutes walk to the stunning beach. It was an absolute treat and will highly recommend. I... read more cannot emphasize enough the friendliness and helpfulness of Megan, nothing is too much trouble for her to ensure every guest experiences a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Every morning Megan is there to ensure you have whatever you wish, Breakfasts are individually cooked to order, within reason, everything you wish you get.
One word about this Guest House, "WOWEE".
Good sized pool with loungers all around, some in the sun some in dappled shade, very easy access to rooms via a sloping deck to full wooden decking surrounding the pool area. Security is tops, doors may be left open at nights with a lockable security gate.
Megan is "The Long Story", without her input the ratings would tumble. She is frequently around and always willing, without being intrusive, to suggest trips and to make bookings for evening meals. Megan is an encyclopedia of local knowledge.
If I were able to honour her with a medal for helpfulness and sociability, it would be a solid gold one.

The rooms are great, the sun loungers luxurious, the beach is a short walk, the breakfasts are fantastic and Meg cannot do enough for her guests.

The sumptuous breakfasts were served on the deck next to the pool or in the open... read more plan living area, prepared by the friendly, enthusiastic staff, using fresh ingredients from the garden. The mattress was on the firm side and the copper plumbing in the bathroom on the weird side, but otherwise very comfortable. Situated in a convenient location, close to all local amenities and within easy walking distance from one of the best beaches in Africa. We will definitely return.

Freshly squeezed orange juice, breakfasts cooked as you like it and freshly made breads and cakes. Table laid ready if you want to chill out and eat during the day or in the evenings. Lovely surprise of Prosecco and cakes for birthday treat too.
Meg has a wealth of knowledge and recommends some of the nicest places to visit and eat. Beautiful Robberg beach only 5min walk away too.
This is the perfect place to stay in Plettenberg Bay - safe and lovely gardens and warm pool - we will definitely return here and book well in advance.

The pool area gives off the perfect holiday vibes. Evans and his incredible team are amazing, ensuring every need is met with a smile and willingness to please. Breakfast is an absolute treat - highly recommend the french toast!! We are already planning our next trip to The Long Story Guest House
