The bed was so comfortable, I did not want to get out. The door to our rooms was a shutter, which locked from both ends (very different) but it worked. Loved the breakfast, I loved the freshly made crumpets. Evan looked after us very well, during our stay. The walk to the beach is about 5 minutes. What a beautiful way to wake up in the morning listening to the sea and the birds .

Freshly squeezed orange juice, breakfasts cooked as you like it and freshly made breads and cakes. Table laid ready if you want to chill out and eat during the day or in the evenings. Lovely surprise of Prosecco and cakes for birthday treat too.
Meg has a wealth of knowledge and recommends some of the nicest places to visit and eat. Beautiful Robberg beach only 5min walk away too.
This is the perfect place to stay in Plettenberg Bay - safe and lovely gardens and warm pool - we will definitely return here and book well in advance.

I... read more cannot emphasize enough the friendliness and helpfulness of Megan, nothing is too much trouble for her to ensure every guest experiences a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Every morning Megan is there to ensure you have whatever you wish, Breakfasts are individually cooked to order, within reason, everything you wish you get.
One word about this Guest House, "WOWEE".
Good sized pool with loungers all around, some in the sun some in dappled shade, very easy access to rooms via a sloping deck to full wooden decking surrounding the pool area. Security is tops, doors may be left open at nights with a lockable security gate.
Megan is "The Long Story", without her input the ratings would tumble. She is frequently around and always willing, without being intrusive, to suggest trips and to make bookings for evening meals. Megan is an encyclopedia of local knowledge.
If I were able to honour her with a medal for helpfulness and sociability, it would be a solid gold one.

Evans is always so willing to go the extra mile, even our dogs get blankets and biscuits for breakfast. We will definitely be back again.

  We spent 5 nights at Long Story. The house's name gives you a hint of how long you should stay. Our stay was too short.
We stayed in the Middle... read more Room. It was comfortable and well ventilated. Staying at LS you have the impression that the owners are professional and that they understand what guests would like, more than need. Many guest houses are not as good as home. LS has small luxuries, you probably don't have at home.
Charles and Evans make delicious 5 star breakfasts and will bring you a drink when you are beside the pool. Noting is too much trouble for Charles and Evans.
The towels and linen are always fresh. Everything is spotlessly clean.
The house is about 150m from Robberg Beach. From the house to the rocks at Robberg and back, is about 6 km. We walked every day at low tide. The beach closest to the house has a lifeguard and good swimming.
The shops are nearby and we braaied and prepared salads.
We had the pleasure of being entertained by Chereen and Wayne, who are charming hosts. if you meet them you will understand why such thought has gone into the house.
We will go back for 15 days in a few months time.
